FAQ

Pang Physical Therapy is not directly contracted with all major commercial insurances. We are considered out of network and a superbill can be provided for potential reimbursement.

A superbill is an itemized invoice of provided services that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. It is highly advisable to call your insurance company beforehand to clarify out of network coverage.

Pang Physical Therapy is contracted with Medicare Part B. Please contact us directly to learn more about Medicare coverage.

You do not need a doctor’s referral to start physical therapy. California direct access laws allow you to be seen by a physical therapist for up to 45 days or for 12 visits (whichever comes first) before requiring a referral. After this period, you must obtain a physician’s referral in person to continue treatment.

A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for individuals experiencing financial need or hardship. This option was developed in light of recent economic challenges and is offered on a short-term basis to help make care more accessible. Sliding scale rates are only available to those who pay at the time of service and do not apply to third-party payers such as insurance, HSA/FSA, or other billing arrangements. If cost is a concern, please contact us directly for more details.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will incur the full session fee.
